I can’t shake visions of Harrison Barnes when i think of Cade. Can’t help it. Full disclosure, i was a huge Barnes guy coming out of Iowa and he’s had a tremendous and lengthy career. But he’s no superstar.

I’m fascinated by the Barnes ? Kuminga intel coming in as of late. I happen to be a massive Barnes fan as i don’t think that sort of size and skill set show up often enough but surprised to hear he seems consensus ahead of Kuminga.

I was a big Barnes fan as well. Ditto for Andrew Wiggins and Ben Simmons. Sometimes these players just don't do much to improve their game to the point that they reach their full potential. For Simmons it was shooting. For Wiggins, doing more than scoring the basketball. In Barnes case, I just don't think he was the athlete he needed to be. Cade has star potential and is one of the most complete players I've ever scouted. With that said a lack of elite athleticism and a high turnover rate could be his undoing. Almost every top prospect has an Achilles heel.

In another article, you said OKC had Scottie Barnes third on their draft board. So, I’m curious why you have them taking Kuminga (4th on their board) with Barnes still available?

I wrote this Mock about a month ago. I only updated the 16th pick to reflect the Thunder-Celtics trade. The Lottery Mock Draft I did on Thursday is my most recent intel. I'll do a full Mock Draft 2.0 update on Tuesday after the draft lottery.
