What we've learned from the Las Vegas Summer League Part II
Cam Whitmore, Overtime Elite, Jabari Smith, Craig Porter and more...
LAS VEGAS — Summer league is officially over and there’s very little basketball outside of the TBT and FIBA World Cup until NBA training camp starts in late September. I’ve already started focusing on the 2024 NBA Draft and although it’s considered a weak class and lacks the star power of this years crop, I’m looking forward to seeing who emerges as the No. 1 pick next June.
But before I focus on next seasons prospects, I wanted to share my thoughts on what I observed from the NBA 2K24 Summer League in Las Vegas.
In case you missed it, here is part one.
Teams will regret passing on Cam Whitmore
Depending on who you ask, Cam Whitmore's fall from projected lottery pick to landing in the Houston Rockets lap at No. 20 was related to injury history or poor intel.
Whitmore's slide has been a hot topic over the last few weeks, and his play in Las Vegas magnified and left even more questions surrounding his allegedly concerning medical reports.
