Edgecombe's meteoric rise over the past 18 months has seen him ascend from unknown to projected lottery pick. He's established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in the upcoming draft after an impressive senior season at Long Island Lutheran, where he was voted Gatorade Player of the Year in New York for the second consecutive season. Edgecombe gave NBA scouts a glimpse of his potential against higher-level competition when he averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game for the Bahamas at the 2024 Olympic Qualifiers. He was the third-leading scorer for a Bahamas team that featured three NBA players: DeAndre Ayton, Buddy Hield, and Eric Gordon.
