The 2026 NBA Draft features three players with a legitimate case to be the first name called by Commissioner Adam Silver in June. This series will continue to break down the performances of Kansas’ Darryn Peterson, BYU’s AJ Dybantsa, and Duke’s Cameron Boozer. Honestly, I believe all three would be the number one pick in most drafts.

Peterson played just one game this week, a difficult road matchup in Raleigh against North Carolina State. In just his fourth game of the season, Peterson scored 17 points on 7-14 shooting, including 2-5 from three, while adding five rebounds, four assists, and a block in 31 minutes. That marked the most he has played this season as he continues to manage a lingering hamstring injury.
