Before we get to the superstar trade talk, some notes on the NBA draft coming up June 22, just nine days away.
Workouts are ramping up over the next week for the top prospects and teams at the top of the draft, with projected lottery picks squaring off in matchups.
Cason Wallace and Nick Smith faced off in a workout for the Washington Wizards last week.
Wallace and Keyonte George, childhood friends from the Dallas area who have celebrated the majority of their birthdays together (they were born one day apart), are scheduled to work out for the Jazz in the upcoming days.
In general, during the last 2-3 weeks before the draft, teams are tending to focus their attention on the top prospects. Before that, we saw more workouts for players who are projected to go later in the first round, in the second round, or undrafted.
