We have a much better idea of the NBA draft order now that the NBA regular season has ended. We’ll learn even more this week with the results of the NBA’s play-in tournament. And in about five weeks, on May 17, the order will be set (barring trades) at the NBA Draft Lottery.
What we know now is (a) the teams in the best overall draft position are Houston, Orlando, Detroit and Oklahoma City and (b) the Pelicans are likely to have the Lakers’ pick — see below for more details.
