New NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Picks 15 to 30
My forecast for the first 30 NBA Draft picks
With the NBA All-Star break behind us, it's time to unveil my comprehensive first-round Mock Draft for 2024.
After analyzing the lottery prospects in Big Board 1.0 earlier this week, my attention has now shifted towards the emerging prospects who have made a splash in conference play and are now being considered as breakout stars.
The draft landscape is unpredictable, with scouts and evaluators having varying opinions on where each prospect will end up.
The second half of my Mock Draft showcases the depth and diversity of talent available in this year's draft class.
Come on board with the NBA governors, general managers, coaches, scouts, players, draft enthusiasts, and fans who all have exclusive access to NBA Big Board. Trust me, I appreciate every subscription.
And if you're feeling generous, becoming a Big Board Member will give NBA Big Board an extra push.
*Standings based on team records from February 21, 2024
15. Orlando Magic
Ja'Kobe Walter
Baylor
Freshman
Wing
6’5” | 195
Age on draft night: 19.7
At one point, I had Walter pegged as a top-five pick, but his struggles with efficiency in conference play have led to him sliding outside of my personal lottery. However, there are undeniable parallels between Walter and Keyonte George, who also was plagued by inconsistency as a freshman at Baylor.
