G League Elite Camp: Five Prospects I'm Watching Closely in Chicago

The NBA combine starts Tuesday, but the G League Elite Camp kickstarts a vital week for prospects performing in an NBA setting for the first time.
This weekend (May 13 and 14), 45 draft prospects are in Chicago to display their skills in front of NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches, and front-office executives by participating in five-on-five games and strength and agility drills.
The goal for each prospect is to play well enough to receive an invite to the NBA Combine, which features the top draft-eligible players in the world and takes place May 15-21 at Wintrust Arena.
"I told my guy to pack enough clothes to stay for the full week," says an NBA agent with a client participating in G League Elite camp. "We don't want this to be a weekend trip; we want to be there until the end."
