Four NBA Trade Deadline Deals: Eight teams, two superstars and a new NBA landscape

In August, I put together a column on potential trades for Ben Simmons and Bradley Beal along with other big names. Trade speculation has followed those two players and Damian Lillard for months, and with trade season upon us, trade talk is heating up again.
While I’ve been talking to NBA executives and scouts primarily about the upcoming NBA Draft, their favorite topic lately has been what deals we might see over the next four weeks, before the Feb. 10 trade deadline.
Here is what I’m hearing. I am not telling you that these trades are likely, or that the talks are definitely happening at the moment.
Rather, this is what some NBA executives think could happen, or at least what they think would work.
Of the many trade ideas I’ve heard, two Simmons trades and two other trades that include picks from the 2020 and 2021 draft really caught my ear.
