Flagg is the centerpiece of Duke's top-ranked recruiting class, drawing serious attention as a potential top pick in the 2025 NBA draft. A five-star prospect out of Montverde Academy (Florida), was rated as the top player in the 2024 high school class by both 247Sports and ESPN, having originally been a member of the 2025 class before reclassifying.
Flagg was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year, Naismith Player of the Year, and McDonald's All-American as a senior in 2023-24, averaging 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game to lead Montverde to a 33-0 record and a national championship title at the Chipotle High School Nationals.
Flagg decided to reclassify to the 2024 high school class after completely dominating the EYBL 16U league last summer, averaging an astounding 26.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.2 blocks, and 4.7 assists per game.
At 6'9", Flagg brings a combination of skill, versatility, and explosive athleticism that fills arenas. He can handle the ball and operate out of the high post, where he's a gifted playmaker, showcasing a knack for finding open cutters for easy scoring opportunities.
