Plus our Rookie, Sophomore and Draft Prospect of the Week
During the NBA, college and international seasons, my Tuesday newsletter will focus on NBA rookies and sophomores as well as prospects for the 2022 NBA Draft, especially those who have helped or hurt their stock in the past week.
My reports will be based on my own observations as well as information I receive from NBA scouts, executives and agents.
Rookie/Sophomore Trade Deadline Winners and Losers
The NBA trade deadline was epic last week. In addition to major trades like James Harden for Ben Simmons, a handful of NBA rookies and sophomores were traded or suddenly found themselves with extra playing time because of trades.

WINNERS
Tyrese Haliburton, Pacers
Haliburton was having a great sophomore season in Sacramento, but his first two games for the Pacers have still turned heads. He had 22 points, three rebounds, six assists and three steals and shot 4-for-6 from 3 in his first game for the Pacers against Cleveland on Friday and followed it up against the Timberwolves on Sunday with a huge 22-point, six-rebound, 16-assist game in which he shot 6-for-12 from 3.
